How to set up printer

  • Unbox and move printer out from the package with at least two people. Printer weighs over 80 lbs.
  • Remove blue tapes and place safety bar onto holder.
  • Make sure the power source is 110V.
  • Plug power cable to printer.
  • Connect USB cable to printer and laptop.
  • As power is on, platen moves forward to the front end.
  • When printer goes through initialization, LCD shows ‘Printer Ready’
  • Check the motion up/down by pressing up/down button on printer control panel.
  • Check the motion front/back by pressing ‘forward’ and ‘backward’ button on printer control panel.
  • Fill ink to main ink bottle.
  • Open CaseYard Pro Printer Software and click file>printer preference>maintenance (click here)
  • Click ‘Power ink flushing’.
    • Ink will be pulled from main ink bottle to print head.

Print operation

  • Turn on the heating mat and set temperature at 75C.
  • Spray coating evenly on the material and wipe with cloth. Repeat again to ensure coating is evenly applied
  • When coating is completely dry, place material onto the heating mat. Surface that print will go onto needs to be in contact with heat mat.
  • Wait for 15 to 30 sec or longer until material is warmed up

Auto Height

  • Press ‘forward’ button on the printer control panel and place substrate under safety bar.
    • Material needs to be where height laser sensor is
  • Press ‘Auto Height’ button on the printer control panel.
    • Platen will go up until height laser sensor is triggered, then move to rear end.
  • When platen is moved to rear end, press ‘forward’ button
  • Place material to the corner of jig to be at correct origin positon.
  • Click ‘Print’ button in the software.
    • The status shown in the LCD of printer should be at ‘Ready’ status before print command is sent.
  • When print is finished, place material onto heating mat with printed side facing up and leave it there for following sec;
    • Bamboo, Ceramic tile: 120 sec at 75C
    • Wood case: 60 sec at 75C
    • TPU case: 30 sec at 75C
    • Other materials: leave on the heating mat until print is completely dry
  • If there is any mist of ink on the side of material, clean it with cotton swab wet with nail polish remover/acetone.

Daily Routine
  • Start of the day
    • Plug power cable and USB cable to printer.
    • Turn on power and press ‘printer power’ button on the printer control panel.
    • Check the ink level in the main ink bottle.
    • Check the ink level of waste tank. When waste is full, please dispose them to avoid any spill.
    • Press ‘Cleaning’ button. Hold down for 4 seconds.
    • Open software and check the remaining balance of credit.
      • If credit is about to run out, please contact Case Yard Inc.
  • End of day
    • Press ‘Cleaning’ button. Hold down for 4 seconds.
    • When LCD shows ‘Printer Ready’, press ‘Printer Power’ to turn off print unit.
    • Turn off main power from the toggle switch on the side panel of printer.
    • Disconnect USB cable and main power cord. This is recommended to prevent any damage from power surge from main power source.




Weekly Routine
  • Refill ink to main ink bottle.
    • If ink level is below 30%, refill to 80%.
    • Do not introduce any dust or impurities into ink bottle.
    • Cap of main ink bottle should not be tightened when in printing.
      • If cap is tightly closed, it cause vacuum pressure builds up and print head will not jet any ink.
      • If printer needs to be moved or stored for more than two days, please close the cap tightly. When printer is in use again, please unscrew cap.
  • Power Ink flushing
    • Open Case Yard Pro Printer
  • Empty Waste tank
  • Wipe Encoder strip with cloth wet with IPA gently.
  • Wipe Carriage guide rail with cloth wet with IPA gently and lubricate with grease.
  • Wipe ball screws with cloth wet with IPA gently and lubricate with grease.
  • Clean platen and jig with cloth wet with IPA.

* Any damage due to print head crash, repair/replacement of damaged print head or other associated parts is not covered within warranty. Please make sure the height of material is correctly adjusted. Material must be always below the level of safety bar when correctly adjusted. Safety bar is at the same level of print head position. Do not wipe print head with any other chemicals except cleaning solution provided by Case Yard Inc.
